On this day in Lewis & Clark history...
The Expedition stops at a big bend in the river to hunt. While Clark is out hunting, Lewis walks too far on a sandbar, re-injuring his gunshot wound. They continue around the bend camping near present Lower Brule, South Dakota.

here we discover the first Signs of the wild turkey.
