On this day in Lewis & Clark history...
Some of the crew building pirogues come to Fort Mandan for supplies. Clark packs the Indian trade goods into 8 bundles so that the pirogues can each carry one. Charbonneau is enlisted as an Interpreter.

collected Some herbs pla[n]ts in order to send by the boat. paticularly the root said to cure the bites of the mad dog and rattlesnake.
