On this day in Lewis & Clark history...

Due to cold, the Fort Mandan guards must be changed every 30 minutes. The two fur trade clerks end their visit. The hunters find it too cold and return to the fort. Clark investigates a dispute over one of Charbonneau's horses.

verry cold last night So that the Sentinel had to be relieved everry half hour dureing all last night.
