Pryor and Dorion arrive at camp with 70 Yankton Sioux. Cooking kettles are loaned to them along with gifts of tobacco and corn. A council is arranged for tomorrow. The men make a new tow rope and others try to find Shannon who is missing.

in the afternoon Sergt. pryor & the 2 men who went with him returned to our Camp & brought with them 60 Indians of the Souix nation. they Camped on the opposite Shore & did not incline to cross this evening. our Captains Sent them over Some lyed Corn & Tobacco &.C
