On this day in Lewis & Clark history...
In passing a Missouri River rapid that roars like a waterfall, a keelboat window is broken. The Expedition makes only 7 miles camping on a river bend that today is an oxbow lake east of Camden, Missouri.

Thursday June 21st 1804.
I went on Shore with Drewyer all day & I never Saw as fine Timbered land in my life nor Such Rich handsome bottom land, Drewyer killed one Deer & him & me brought it to the River, one Turkey likewise
