On this day in Lewis & Clark history...
Clark returns to Camp River Dubois on a boat that was coming down the Missouri from the Platte River. The Captains and two prominent local citizens leave camp to stop a potential war between the Kickapoo and Osage.

Cap Lewis & my self Mr. Chotieu & Gratiot & went to stop 110 Kickpo from going to war against the Osarges
