On this day in Lewis & Clark history...

After taking celestial measurements until 1:20 am, Lewis continues around 9 am by measuring equal altitudes. Clark sets out in the keelboat at 4:30 pm arriving after dark opposite Ste. Genevieve in present Missouri.

Set out from the landing at half passed 4 oClock passed an Island near the middle of the River the lower point within three quaters of a mile, came to on the Larbd side after Dark
