On this day in Lewis & Clark history...
The keelboat heads up the Mississippi without Nathaniel Pryor who is out hunting. They pass two keelboats going upriver to Kaskaskia and two keelboats headed down to New Orleans. Pryor does not arrive at camp near present, Thebes, Illinois.

one of my men who went out to hunt this morning has not yet come up, had several guns fired to bring him too, and the horn freequently blown but without effect—
