On this day in Lewis & Clark history...
In a letter written two days ago, Lewis informs Clark that he would be leaving Cincinnati today. He mentions that he may see his friend in person before the letter arrives in Louisville, Kentucky. Lewis decides to stay a few more days.
From the journals...
Cincinnati Sept. 28th 1803.
It is probable before the reciept of this letter that I shall be with you; I shall leave this the day after tomorrow. Adieu and believe me your very sincere friend and associate,1
